How we know what we know
This page is assembled from two kinds of evidence, and it never blends them silently.
Two eras
From April 2024 the numbers come from the public match logs at logs.qwtf.live. Those are recorded as the match is played, and they are complete: every match demo we hold from that period has a matching log entry.
Before April 2024 no log exists. What survives is the demo files the servers recorded. We replay those to recover who played, when, on which map and in which region. That is how the Record reaches back to July 2019.
Why some numbers are missing
A demo is a recording of a game, not a scoreboard. The game server only began publishing running kill and damage counters partway through the archive: none in 2019, about a fifth of 2020, most of 2022 and 2023.
So an older career shows games, dates, maps and regions, and often a dash where kills or damage would be. A dash means nobody recorded it, not that the player scored zero.
Rebuilt figures are also kept out of career totals and leaderboards. Coverage runs from nothing to everything depending on which servers someone happened to play on, and a total built from that would rank people by luck rather than by play.
Old matches carry no team score either, so a career made entirely of them has no win rate. That shows as unavailable too.
How names become one player
People change nicks, add clan tags, and reconnect under a name the server has already handed to someone else. Deciding that two spellings are one person is the hardest part of this archive, so we merge only when independent evidence agrees.
- Confirmed: a person stated the link.
- Strongly corroborated: the spelling relationship is clean and at least two independent checks agree.
- Disputed: someone asserted the link and something else disagrees. We keep the assertion, and keep saying so.
Anything weaker stays separate. Two names that merely look alike are left as two entries, because they genuinely can be two people: this archive contains a nick played by different people on opposite teams in the same match.
Found something wrong?
Historical data has errors, and the people in it know things the files do not. Corrections are welcome. They are applied by hand, never automatically.
Useful evidence, roughly strongest first:
- You are the player, saying which names were yours.
- A teammate or opponent from that era vouching for the link.
- A demo, screenshot or match link showing one person under both names.
- A date range: "I stopped using that nick when I joined X".
What is not enough on its own: the names look similar. That is the part we already checked.
